To
undergraduate location specific demand driven research programmes aimed at
identification of rice accessions / varieties tolerant / resistant for the
major pests in Rice viz. BPH, Stemborer, leaffolder and effective integrated
pest management programme IPM against key pests in Rice, rice fallow pulses,
vegetables and banana.
Know how
disemination including skill oriented training in IPM, Pheromone technology,
Apiculture, Sericulture and Biological control for the benefit of farming
community in Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli and Kanakumri districts.
